We are a Non Profit Organisation set up in April 2011. The Founder is Paraplegic and Wheelchair dependent.
The Organisation has two roles. The first is to liaise with Local Government and Politicians, to identify the problems and issues affecting our everyday lives. To help in finding solutions to these problems and to ensure that we enjoy the freedoms set out in the Equality Act 2010.We are working with Ceredigion County Council as advisers on their Strategic Equality Plan. We are affiliated with,
C.A.V.O Ceredigion Association of Voluntary Organisations.
W.C.V.A Wales Council of Voluntary Organisations and
The second important role of this organisation is to bring disabled people together socially. We have a fishing club, fishing both sea and Carp. The Organisation runs an annual fishing event to raise money for local charities. We have two Tandem Kayaks and offer River Trips with the Paddlers Canoe Centre. For further information on our sports section see our sports page.
Often it seems that we are a hidden part of our communities and we seek to change these perceptions and of course have fun too. By uniting and engaging with others who share similar experiance we can improve our circumstances. We work to alter the negative perceptions of disabled people and show that we have an important contribution to make in our communities.
